STANLEY, HENRY M. (1841-1904). Journalist; African Explorer best known for his explorations with David Livingstone. Autograph Letter Signed “Henry M. Stanley”.  Two full pages, octavo.  “30 Sackville Street, London”. August 15, 1885. Accompanied by a postcard with Stanley’s portrait. Light toning, some fold separation at center, else very fine.   To Mr. Anderson, Stanley writes:  “’I requested to you the interview yesterday. Will you be good enough to send me such clippings of same as may be published with such comments as you see made on it in a few of the respectable papers. In reading over your letter again I find you ask for me for a Edition copy of my book.  You must understand that I have long exhausted my share of the books here, but  I send you an order on Harper which may be honored for an American copy. Henry M. Stanley ”
