Roosevelt writes: “My dear Dean Robbins: I wish very much that it were possible for me to attend the special service on October 28th, but I fear I cannot leave Washington. I hope, nevertheless, that I shall have the pleasure of seeing you at one of the Trustee’s meetings soon. Always faithfully yours, Franklin D. Roosevelt”.
