Shelley is best known for her Gothic novel: Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus. Rare Autograph Letter Signed, “Mary Shelley.” One page, octavo. “24 Chester Sq.” “13 Dec.” no year. [She lived at this address from 1846, until her death in 1851.] Shelley writes to: ‘My dear Sir’.
“Many thanks for you communications which gave me great pleasure- I am truly obliged to you for the trouble you have so kindly taken. Sir Percy desires his compliments. I am yrs truly, Mary Shelley.”
