GEORGE III. (1738-1820). King of England, he reigned: (1760-1820); In 1811 it was acknowledged that he was violently insane with the doctors continuing to hope for recovery, but Parliament enacted the Regency Act whereby the Prince of Wales (the future George IV) essentially ruled. Interesting fragment of a Manuscript Document Signed, “George R”, as King. One page, oblong small quarto. [approx 7 x 10 inches].
