GRIEG MUST CANCEL HIS CONCERT DUE TO HIS POOR HEALTH

GRIEG, EDVARD.  (1843-1907).  Norwegian composer.  Autograph Note Signed, “Edvard Grieg”, in Norwegian, on an octavo post card.  London, November 28, 1892.  Traces of mounting on verso where addressed, else very fine condition.  Addressed on verso to “Mrs. Margarethe Moller, 71, Shooter’s Hill Road, Blackheath, Kent”, with postal cancellation.  Grieg writes: “I am still very weak after my illness, and because of that, I will not be able to fulfill all the previously made obligations, never mind do the entertaining.  I therefore very much regret not being able to give the concert proposed by you.  Respectfully, Edvard Grieg”.
