GOODMAN, “BENNY” BENJAMIN DAVID. (1909-1986). American Jazz musician, bandleader, and renowned clarinet virtuoso; known as the “King of Swing”. A 4 page, folio [8 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches] printed play-bill/brochure for: “Einziges Jazz-Konzert / BENNY GOODMAN / AND HIS ORCHESTRA”, that was held on May 10, 1950, at the “Kongresshaus” in [Zurich, Switzerland]. Goodman is depicted in a full face-bust pose on the cover, holding his clarinet and has signed the cover along with the following members of his orchestra: Roy Eldridge, [Trumpet]; Charlie Short, [Bass]; Ed Shaughnessy, [Drums]; Dick Hyman, [Piano]; Jean Theilenans, [Guitar]; and Nancy Reed, [Vocals]. The interior pages list, the band members and also the order of songs played. Previously folded, else very fine condition, a great keepsake of the post war return to normalcy as music and entertainment returned to the European continent.
