L. J. BINNS (1861?-1936?). Noted caricaturist working after the turn of the 20th century in England; drew caricatures of British personalities, mainly from the worlds of theater and politics; Binns had associations with two predominant caricaturists of this period, Sir Francis Carruthers Gould and Harry Furniss; His work is held in major collections at the NY Public Library, V&A Museum, London, and Harvard University, amongst many others. Binns original drawings are scarce commodities in the marketplace, and those signed by the sitter are even more so, and highly desirable.
