BUCHANAN, JAMES.  (1791-1868) 15^th President of the United States.  His Free-franking signature, “James Buchanan”  on an octavo panel, that is addressed in his hand: “Dr. Robert J. Dodd / U.S. Navy / Boston / Massachusetts.”  Straight “Free” stamp below signature.  Fine condition.
