UNCOMMON SIGNATURE OF REVOLUTIONARY WAR GENERAL JAMES IRVINE

IRVINE, JAMES.  (1735 –1819) Pennsylvania soldier and politician during the Colonial, Revolutionary, and American Post-Revolutionary periods; General in Continental Army; was held prisoner by the British for nearly 4 years; once served under Benedict Arnold; member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly; served as Vice-President of Pennsylvania.  His bold Signature “James Irvine, V.P”, as cut from a document.  One page, 16mo. Tipped to a larger leaf.  Very fine condition, and rather uncommon.
