SCOTTI, ANTONIO. (1866–1936) — Italian Baritone and Metropolitan Opera Legend; celebrated for his elegant style, rich tone, and long tenure as a principal artist at the New York Metropolitan Opera, where he performed for more than 33 seasons; also enjoyed major success at Covent Garden in London and La Scala in Milan.  Handsome cabinet size photograph, boldly inscribed vertically, in Italian, on the photographic surface to the right of his image for “Alfred Waldron”.  Photographer’s imprint in lower photographic mount.  Fine condition.
