PLANCK, MAX. (1858–1947). Nobel Prize–winning German physicist who pioneered the understanding of quantum theory. Typed Letter Signed “Planck” on Der Prasident de Kaiser  [The President / the Emperor Wilhelm Society], [Germany] imprinted letterhead. One page, quarto. July 27, 1932. To Attorney Hermann Geib (1872-1939), Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labour. In German, roughly translated, Planck writes.

”It is my great pleasure to inform you that the Senate of the Kaiser Wilhelm Company has chosen you for the Board of Trustees of the Institute for foreign and international private law society.  I hope that you accept the choice and can be given to your advice and your support for the Institute. Planck.”

 

Planck’s letters are uncommon, and this one is in superb condition with content that reflects his scientific interests.
