GROVER CLEVELAND ORIGINAL ARTIST’S SKETCH

BOLDLY SIGNED IN 1894, AS PRESIDENT

CLEVELAND, GROVER.  (1837-1908).  Twenty-second and twenty-fourth President of the United States (1885-9, 1893-7).  Wonderful, original pen-and-ink sketch, Boldly Signed, “Grover Cleveland / 1894”, as President, under his image.  Cleveland is depicted in a ¾ profile bust pose, wearing jacket and bow tie. Image size approximately 6 inches across, drawn on a 8 x10 inch artist stock paper. Now housed in a simple black wood frame.  Signed by the British artist, Robert Kastor — “R. Kastor” under the image.  Kastor’s portraits of other historic personalities are housed in major museum collections, including multiple sketches in the Library of Congress, and National Portrait Gallery.   Some 40+ years ago we were pleased to be able to bring these portraits to the collecting world, and now, once again, offer with pleasure this most stunning characteristic image!
