BROWNING, ELIZABETH BARRETT (1806-1861)  and ROBERT BROWNING (1812-1889).  Beloved English poets. Very fine signatures of the literary couple on a single 1 1/4 by 4 inch sheet, to which Robert Browning has added the pair’s legendary Italian address, “Florence, Casa Guidi” and the date, “March 27, 1857”. A fine example.  Archivally framed in tan, peat, and antique gilt, with matching color portraits of the poets. Framed dimensions: 15 3/4 inches wide by 14 inches high.  Just superb, and an extremely difficult, if almost an impossible paring to find!
