A 1794 CHELSEA LOTTERY TICKET  — NORWICH CONNETICUT

A printed June 1794 American Lottery Ticket for the “Chelsea Lottery / Class Second”, Norwich, Connecticut.  One page, oblong narrow 16mo.  [Approximately 2 x 6 inches]. Endorsed vertically on the front “6 Doll.” and signed by “Joseph Perkins”, the lottery Manager.  Deeply embossed borders.   Choice condition, and a simply a stunning example of this much better lottery ticket.  We have sold a couple of Class First examples, but this is the only Class Second that we can recall.
