JIMMY CARTER ALS DURING HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN
CARTER, JIMMY (b 1924) President of the United States and Nobel laureate. Scarce Autograph Letter Signed “Jimmy” on his name imprinted “Jimmy Carter / 1 Woodland Drive / Plains Georgia 31780” stationery. Full page, large octavo. February 17, 1976. To “Bob Boch”. Pristine condition. Carter writes:
“The telethon was enjoyable & financially successful. Thanks to your great work. I really appreciate this wonderful help with my campaign. Your friend, Jimmy”.
Full ALS’s of Carter are uncommon, with those being written as President, on White House stationery, being almost non-existent. This is a very fine example penned just prior to his election, and with its charming political content, it will make a fine addition to any presidential collection.
