FIRST EDITION PLAY SCRIPT FOR CHARLES DICKENS:  NICHOLAS NICKLEBY —  IN A FRENCH PERFORMANCE

The first performance of this dramatic adaptation of Dickens’ Nicholas Nickleby was given on January 29, 1842, at Le Theatre de l’Ambigu-Comique, Paris.  Wrappers soiled and chipped. Interior fairly clean.  Apparently from the Estelle Doheny collection, as insert is marked in their coding system.  An extremely scarce item, and just a ‘must have’ for the Dickens specialist.
