CIVIL WAR – DATED AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED

MCCLELLAN, GEORGE B. (1826-1885)  Major General during the American Civil War.  Civil War dated, Autograph Letter Signed, “Geo. McClellan, Maj. Gen.” One page, octavo. [approximately 5 x 8 inches].  Very fine condition.  New Jersey, March 12, 1864. McClellan writes to Mr. Thos. King, New York:  “My dear Sir: Yours of the 11 in received. I take pleasure in complying with your request. And am very truly yours Geo. B McClellan  / Maj. General.”     

His war-dated letters are uncommon.
