FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE

WRITES OF HER “GREAT ACCUMULATION OF WORK”

NIGHTINGALE, FLORENCE.  (1820-1910).  British nurse, hospital reformer and humanitarian.  Partial Autograph Letter Signed, “F. Nightingale”.  One page, oblong octavo.  [Approximately 4 1/2 x 7 inches]  No place [London], April 7, 1891.  Very fine condition.  To an unnamed correspondent.  Nightingale writes:

“…great accumulation of work here.  Easter week was the first in which I tried to see some I loved here.  I have always longed to see you again.  When you come to London again, will you try me again?  God bless you.  And Oh!  May that life come right!  Ever yours most truly, F. Nightingale”.

Just a fine example, with her full “F. Nightingale” signature —  for those interested in this most remarkable woman, and the study of nursing history.  This will display or frame up wonderfully.
