LOUIS ARMSTRONG  — AN ATTRACTIVE SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH

ARMSTRONG, LOUIS.   (1901-1971).    American trumpeter and vocalist who was among the most influential figures in  American jazz; nicknamed “Satchmo”;  his career spanned five decades and all eras in the history of jazz.  Choice, black and white postcard Photograph Signed, “Louis Armstrong” under his image on the wide lower portion, in his characteristic green ink.  Oblong octavo.  [approx. 4 x 5 3/4 inches].  Image by ‘Germaine Martin / Lausanne [Switzerland], with their imprint in the negative, and on verso.  A mid-aged Armstrong is depicted gazing to the left, looking over his shoulder, broadly smiling.  Very fine condition.
