ALCOTT, LOUISA MAY.  (1832-88). American author, suffragist, reformer and selfless nurse during the Civil War.  She achieved fame with Little Women. Her scarce Signature: “L.M. Alcott.” Penned on a small 1 x 3 inch slip of paper, and mounted inside a 3 inch circle of heavier paper.   No place, No date.  Removed from a scrap book that was assembled in the late 1870’s, by a book publisher.  Fine condition, as seen.  Just a choice example to insert into one of her well loved books.
