WONDERFUL SIGNED SEPIA-TONED PHOTOGRAPH OF THOMAS EDISON

EDISON, THOMAS A.  (1847-1931).   American inventor of the phonograph, and the light bulb;  the holder of  a total of 2,332 patents during his lifetime;  1,093 of which were U.S. patents in a variety of technology fields;   Edison’s first patent was executed on October 13, 1868, when Edison was just 21 years of age.   A truly handsome, sepia-toned Photograph Signed, “Thos A. Edison”, with his bold umbrella paraph, under his image, on the photographic surface.  Edison is depicted in a 1/2 length, full face bust pose.   The image is by Walter Scott Shinn, with his photographer’s imprint and copyright mark in the image.  The smallest of edge wear, else extremely fine condition.  The overall size measures 7 x 10 inches.   An attractive ‘simply’ signed image of the great inventor, that would display magnificently!
