“...Hope has written me a letter and enclosed to you that which you find under cover. I have scarcely known what to do with it, and yet there it is with its direction to you, and a request to me to forward it. He is undoubtedly a good hater, and to me is warmly attached, so take the letter as it is. You will know how to appreciate it...John Tyler.”
