London, October 14, 1894. Traces of mounting on verso, else very fine condition. To “V. Langammer, Esq.” Sullivan writes:

“Dear Sir, I have not yet received the libretto which you say you have kindly forwarded to me. I merely write this to let you know in case it has miscarried. I am very busy with new works at present, and therefore could not undertake anything fresh for some time, but I should not like your manuscript to be lost. Yours very truly, Arthur Sullivan.”
